Lots of folks have decided to follow along here, which is really great. The bulk of the comments, though hidden from public view at least for now, are from your fellow Christians. In general they have been gracious and accommodating in view of my lack of faith. Still, there are some arguments being made that make my task of Devils Advocate a bit daunting! So, rather than me try and play "Stump the Believer" with this next round, I thought you could take up the task by answering some questions for us few skeptics.
The phrase "Biblical Authority" is bandied about quite a bit. Perhaps you could tell us all your understanding of how the Bible was written, compiled, and disseminated. Since it is the source of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, as well as a cornerstone of Western thought, and the basis of your faith, I think it would be good to understand where it came from.
